Overview
The cycle for the program is now 4 years with computers configured with extra processing power to ensure they last for 4 years.
Computers purchased before July 1, 2010 will be replaced as part of the Computer Replenishment program.

Laptops are an option and the price between the desktop and laptop of the same configuration level are roughly the same. Some items to note regarding laptops:
- The portability of the laptop is not without risk, namely the increase in theft or loss and the increase in repairs due to the portable nature of the laptop.
- Wireless coverage is not available in many offices so the laptops will still need to be plugged into the campus network.
- Laptop accessories (keyboards, mice, docking stations, monitors, etc.) will be the responsibility of the department and will not be provided as part of the Replenishment Program.
Instructor-led training and online tutorials will be available to get faculty and staff familiar with the new operating system and version of Office.
